Guite Joins GHS Aviation Group Senior Management Team

GHS Aviation Auditing LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Normand (Norm) Guite to the newly created position of Director Operations and Training. Mr. Guite will work from the GHS World Headquarters in Northern Virginia and report directly to the Managing Director Audits.

President and CEO Captain George Snyder welcomes Mr. Guite to the GHS Senior Management Team by stating “Norm is a uniquely qualified aviation professional with an industry recognized background of success in both commercial and military aviation.”

His career in the United States Air Force began in 1980 and included supervisory and line assignments as Airlift/Bombardment Aircraft Mechanic, Flight Engineer, Flight Engineer Instructor, before retiring in 2001 as a Flight Superintendent responsible for management oversight of over thirty military transport aircraft flight engineers.

Transitioning to the commercial aviation sector in 2002, Norm joined Evergreen International Airlines (EIA) based in McMinnville, Oregon as a Flight Engineer on the B-747 Classic Fleet before being promoted to First Officer and later as B747 Fleet Manager.

His contributions to the airline were quickly recognized and resulted in further promotions to positions as Assistance Director of Operations, Director of Training, and ultimately B747-400 Fleet Manager.

Norm currently holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilots License with Type Ratings on the B747-400 and B-747 Classic aircraft, Flight Engineer Turbojet Certificate, Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic License, and an FAA Class I Airman Medical Certificate.

Mr. Guite currently resides in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children.
